The Vendors

At The Backyard Farm & Market we carefully curate, quality food, that comes from local farms and producers that make their products using sustainable ingredients and organic where possible.
Finding vendors that meet our policies takes several months, as there aren’t many of them.  We are excited to welcome back vendors that have nourished you in past markets. And help us welcome some new vendors!
Produce
All produce vendors are non-certified organic and hyper local (Brampton, Milton, Oakville and The Backyard).
Ecosource (monthly) –  All proceeds from produce sales help support community programs offered through the Community Roots project.
Happy Plant  (June/Sept. weekly, July/August bi-weekly) –  Ahmed is Mississauga resident who farms in Caledon and will be bringing you non-certified produce.
The Little Garden Company – (weekly) Dawn & Geoff are Backyard farmers and grow at The Backyard. They also offer a variety of gardening services and have an online farm delivery store making sure you get good, healthy food throughout the year.
Mena Family Farm  (weekly) – The Mena family are Backyard farmers and grow at The Backyard.
Fruit 
The General Store featuring Little Bee Farmers Market – local, in season fruit
The Little Garden Company – strawberries, Apples (Fall)
Bread/Baked Goods
Lovin Oven (weekly) a variety of breads and baked goods (pies, brownies, date squares, scones, cookies etc.)
Dairy & Eggs
The General Store featuring Little Bee Farmers Market
(weekly) Milk, Yogurt, Butter (regular and flavoured), Cheese, Eggs, Maple Syrup, Frozen locally made Crepes and lots more…
Wine
Southbrook Winery (monthly)- A VQA, biodynamic and rganic Niagara winery who also has organic Cider.  
Flowers/Planters
The Little Garden Company – weekly vendor, request these products if you’d like them they can bring them: seedlings, cut flowers, pollinator kits, edible garden planters
More Producer/Artisan Vendors
Annelid Cycle (June) premium worm castings, worm casting-based liquid fertilizers
Captain Jamie’s (weekly) – Soap, skin care, balms for aches and pains, made in Mississauga using natural ingredients. Gabi also has you covered for the outdoors with sunscreen and insect repellent.
Earthology – (monthly) organic and vegan food wraps  
Living Chocolate (weekly) – raw, vegan chocolate bars, organic fruit pops, TK Preserves, Firebat Coffee
Steve’s Bees (weekly) – raw honey, raw creamed honey, propolis and propolis infused honey
Vannier Apparel Lois Laine -clothing label, (June 9th maybe more if supported) – Made-in -Canada, eco-sensitive, modern women’s clothing. Fabrics are sustainable, including rescued fabric, and/or organic.
WhollyGreens (weekly) – 100% natural fruit and vegetable juices and homemade nut milks
