Mississauga - Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have charged a 20 year-old male with impaired related charges after a fatal collision on Cawthra Road, at the QEW.
On Sunday December 11th, 2011, at approximately 3:26 a.m the victim, a 40 year-old Mississauga man was operating a 2001 Kia Rio in the intersection of Cawthra Road and the QEW when his vehicle collided with a 2012 Dodge Caliber.
The victim and his 2 year-old son were ejected from their vehicle. Both were taken to hospital where the father succumbed to his injuries. The 2 year-old sustained serious injuries. The victim's wife who was also in the vehicle was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
The 4 occupants of the Dodge were sent to hospital with minor, non-life threatening injuries.
20 year-old, Darren MILLETT, has been charged with 9 alcohol related driving offences, including Impaired Driving Causing Death, Criminal Negligence Causing Death, Excess Blood Alcohol, three counts of Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm and three counts of Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm. MILLETT will make an appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Monday, December 12, 2011
Investigators have spoken to several witnesses. However, they would like to speak with anyone else who may have witnessed the collision, or the circumstances leading up to it.

Mississauga - Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses in a fail to remain motor vehicle collision that resulted in a 61 year old female pedestrian receiving serious injuries.
On Thursday December 8th, 2011, at approximately 5:44 am, a pedestrian was attempting to cross at the intersection of Dixie Road and Lakeshore Road East. While crossing in the intersection, she was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop and left the scene.
The 61 year old female from Etobicoke was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing to the driver of the vehicle that struck the woman to contact them at 905-453-2121, extension 3710.

Mississauga - Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are looking for a suspect after a 62 year-old male was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.
On Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 4:55 p.m., the victim was working at a gas station near Truscott Drive and Southdown Road. The suspect, who was operating a vehicle, pumped gas and attempted to flee without paying. The victim, who tried to confront the suspect about the theft, was then struck by the suspect's vehicle as the suspect fled the scene.
Police arrived and found the victim lying on the roadway in critical condition. The victim was taken to a local hospital, and later taken to a Toronto Trauma Centre. The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Southdown Road.
The suspect vehicle is described as a gold colored 4-door sedan, and the driver is described as male, black, approximately 20 - 30 years of age.
Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are actively investigating this collision, with Forensic Officers examining the scene. Peel Police urge the driver of the suspect vehicle to consider his/her options, seek legal counsel and make arrangements to turn him/herself in.

The Mississauga News is reporting"A Mississauga man "left a dying man on the road" and then tried to cover up his crime with lies, a Superior Court judge said today as he sentenced the driver to eight months in jail."
The incident took place January 18, 2010 at Lakeshore Rd. E. and Briarwood Ave. in Port Credit.
Mississauga - Investigators from the Special Victims Unit are seeking the public's assistance to identify a suspect responsible for two separate sex assaults.
On Wednesday February 16, 2011, at approximately 8:45 a.m., the suspect sexually assaulted a teenage female, while in the area of Erin Mills Parkway and Dundas Street West.
On Tuesday March 29, 2011, at approximately 3:10 p.m., a second victim was in the same area, when she was also sexually assaulted by an unknown male.
Investigators believe that both of these sexual assaults were committed by the same individual. They are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the suspect, or suspects, responsible for these assaults.
In the first incident, the suspect was described as male, white, 20 to 30 years of age, with a medium height and a heavy (overweight) build. He had short dark brown hair and a goatee. This suspect was last seen wearing dark framed prescription glasses and a grey hooded sweater and jeans.
In the second incident, the suspect was physically similar, but clean shaven and with no prescription glasses. He was wearing dark sweatpants, a grey down jacket and runners.
